About the Summer Analyst Program

KBCM provides its Summer Analysts unprecedented professional development opportunities through a mix of on-the-job training and structured, hands-on experience. Job duties may include:

  • Perform financial modeling and valuation analysis on public and private companies: comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, leveraged and discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Assist in drafting offering memoranda, preparing internal committee memoranda, and creating client "pitch books", management and board presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Rising juniors enrolled in a four-year, undergraduate degree program with coursework in finance, economics or accounting graduating by May of 2028
  • Minimum undergraduate 3.5 GPA
  • Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activities
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic

The FX Intern

The Foreign Exchange Sales Summer Analyst will support KeyBanc Capital Markets' FX team in delivering market insight, risk management, and execution support to corporate and commercial banking clients with international business needs. The role is designed to provide broad exposure to currency markets, client coverage, sales strategy including onboarding, presentations, and the day-to-day responsibilities of a capital markets sales professional.

Foreign Exchange Sales responsibilities may include:

  • Assist FX Sales team members with client coverage efforts, including preparing market updates, client call materials, and follow-up items for relationship managers and corporate clients.
  • Research foreign exchange market themes, macroeconomic developments, central bank policy, interest rate trends, and currency volatility to help identify timely client discussion topics.
  • Support analysis of client foreign currency exposure, international payment activity, and hedging opportunities across spot, forward, and other FX risk management solutions.
  • Partner with sales, trading, product, relationship management, credit, and operations teams to understand how FX solutions are originated, structured, executed, and serviced.
  • Prepare internal reports, prospect lists, pitch materials, and presentations that help prioritize client outreach and communicate FX value propositions.
  • Participate in team meetings, market discussions, training sessions, and networking opportunities across Capital Markets.

Preferred skills and interests:

  • Strong interest in financial markets, global macroeconomics, currencies, and client-facing sales roles.
  • Ability to synthesize market information clearly and communicate insights in a concise, professional manner.
  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, market information platforms, and client relationship management tools.
  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible for a weekly salary range of $1,340 -$1,440 per week. Summer Analysts in this position are eligible for overtime compensation which is paid in accordance with the Fluctuating Workweek Method. Compensation also includes a $2,000 Summer Analyst Sign-on Bonus.
