The Event Operations Driver is responsible for:
 Loading, driving, preparing, coordinating, and leading the operations team at various events.  The day-of responsibilities begin at our buildings completing loading processes for food, beverage, and equipment as well as going through all event paperwork assuring all required items are loaded. Once onsite, the role for this person is to setup kitchen equipment and lead all necessary operational roles while supporting the event as a whole to assure success at the event level. This Event Operations Driver reports directly to the Operations General Manager.

Key Responsibilities
DAILY OPERATIONS 
  • Consistently demonstrate positive leadership characteristics that inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.
  • Operating a company vehicle equipped with continuous driver-facing and road-facing video safety technology to and from events and company buildings.
  • Familiarize with, and have the ability to troubleshoot, all equipment and problem solve in time sensitive situations.
  • Set-up a satellite kitchen on off-premise catering events.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation.
  • Appropriately follow all health and food safety requirements through every aspect of this role.
  • Prepare, plan, and coordinate the operational agenda for events while communicating with the Service and Culinary leads as necessary.
  • Lead all operational aspects of events at our venues and off-premise events.
  • Support all areas at events as needed for the success of the event.
  • Assist in the processing and organizing of rental glassware, china, and flatware on events.
  • Position may entail assisting culinary and front-of-house on events.
  • Set up an area to receive dirty glassware, china, and flatware on events. Also, manage the flow assuring the team can keep up with the pace of the event in an organized fashion.
  • Communicate any breakage and/or damaged equipment with the event lead and direct report to assure all items can be fixed or inventory adjusted quickly to avoid compounding issues.
  • Assist and oversee the return packing of carts from events back to the warehouse assuring all items are loaded in a way that improves the ease of breakdown and assures no equipment will be damaged in transit.
  • Report all employee feedback/issues to the Operations General Manager.  
  • Assist in the warehouse as needed.
  • Provide feedback on process improvements and strive for maximizing productivity.
  • Support other divisions within Continental in any necessary capacity, in order to assure the success for the company as whole.
  • Attend service cross-training classes 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Associate’s Degree in Hospitality or Equivalent Experience preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong Problem-solving skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Positive attitude and the willingness to work with all facets and levels of management
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) certification required upon hire
  • Valid Chauffer’s License required upon hire
