*Wireline Engineer experience required*


As a Wireline Engineer, you will be asked to supervise the daily operations of a wireline unit both in the shop and in the field and provide staff leadership for a wireline crew. The Wireline Engineer is directly responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and record keeping for their assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment.

This position will primarily be assigned to Remedial (Day Work) Operations.

Skill, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of DOT Regulations
  • Federal Explosives Regulations & Explosives Safety
  • API RP 67
  • Wireline Truck Operations
  • Advanced understanding of wireline cable maintenance, slip rings, rehead steps and calculations for weakpoints
  • Proper use of blasters meter.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and hydraulic drive systems.
  • Perforating Competencies
  • Logging Competencies
  • Pressure Control Operations
  • Crane Operations

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of pre-job preparation and load outs.
  • Ensuring all Pre and Post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports are completed by crew.
  • Directing crew on rigging-up and rigging-down equipment at the well site.
  • Directing the assembling of perforating guns and well logging equipment at job site.
  • Maintaining DOT records and communications as required by FMCSA
  • Completing job-related paperwork and other records for self and assigned crew
  • Promoting and maintaining good customer relations
  • Receiving instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on well site activity
  • Performing basic duties at the well site and at the shop
  • Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing Company and government regulations
  • Supervising and training JFE & Operators while maintaining a high level of safety awareness at the well site
  • Performing other related duties as required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Class A or B CDL w/ Hazmat
  • Hold a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Federal background check
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred
  • Promotes safety awareness and ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work and communicate well with customers and employees
  • Must be reachable via telephone 24 hours a day when in an “on call” status. Must report to work within 30 minutes of notification and work at well sites for extended periods of time
