Job Description

We are seeking a Director, Events to join BGRE in New York, reporting to the SVP, Marketing. In this role, you will play a key role in planning and executing programming across NY portfolio. In this role, you will act as main point of contact for the permitting process on behalf of all Brookfield Place events with Battery Park City Authority (BPCA). You will also field and manage business development and tenant engagement opportunities, as well as support the SVP, Marketing and external agency on strategy and planning.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Work with SVP and agency to produce all public-facing activation, retail, private, and brand alliance events within BGRE's New York City portfolio, primarily focusing on Brookfield Place and Manhattan West
  • Plan, produce and execute programming in partnership with agency that meets business objectives as assigned, including contracts, marketing, event production, event evaluation, budget management, vendor management, and coordinating
  • Serve as primary liaison across internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution
  • Act as BGRE's lead on-site contact for all events, overseeing operations, stakeholder experience, and issue resolution
  • Oversee inbound third-party event inquiries from intake through agency handoff, identifying revenue-generating opportunities
  • Manage various activation types across the portfolio, including permitting, logistics, and on-site coordination
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain relationships with key partners, vendors, and creatives
Your Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, or partnerships, preferably within real estate, retail, or agency environments
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder events and brand activations from concept through execution
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing budgets, vendor negotiations, and agency relationships
  • Knowledge of NYC permitting and licensing processes; experience working with public agencies preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage strategic growth partnerships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven with strong on-site leadership capabilities
  • Passion for events, culture, and placemaking, with a pulse on industry trends and emerging experiences

Annual Base Salary Range: $140,000 - 155,000
