What does an events executive do?

An Events Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events such as conferences, exhibitions, corporate meetings, or social gatherings. Their duties include managing budgets, liaising with vendors and clients, overseeing event logistics, and ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly. They also handle promotions, manage event teams, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the planning or execution stages. An Events Executive’s goal is to deliver successful, memorable events that meet client expectations and organizational objectives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an events executive, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Events Executive, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in event planning, often supported by a degree in hospitality, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with event management software, budgeting tools, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills help you manage clients, vendors, and teams effectively. These abilities are crucial for delivering seamless events that meet client objectives and ensure participant satisfaction.

What are some common challenges faced by events executives when coordinating multiple events simultaneously?

Events Executives often juggle several events at once, which can present challenges like managing overlapping timelines, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring clear communication among vendors and team members. Staying organized with detailed schedules and checklists is essential, as is the ability to adapt quickly to last-minute changes or unforeseen issues. Proactively collaborating with stakeholders and maintaining strong vendor relationships also helps in resolving conflicts and delivering successful events.

Job description

Join us on our mission to elevate customer experiences for people around the world. As a member of the Everise family, you will be part of a global experience company that believes in being people-first, celebrating diversity and incubating innovation. Our dedication to our purpose and people is being recognized by our employees and the industry. Through the power of diversity, we celebrate all cultures for their uniqueness and strengths. THE ROLE
You own the Everise global events program end-to-end - strategy, execution, and ROI. Events here are business drivers: they build pipeline, deepen client relationships, and elevate our brand. Alongside that, you provide executive and personal support to our CEO while he is in New York City - roughly 70% events, 30% executive support. You are organized, discreet, resourceful, and completely at ease in rooms with senior executives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Events Strategy & Execution
  • Own the events strategy end-to-end - annual calendar, budget, prioritization, and ROI measurement.
  • Manage our presence at the conferences that matter - CCW, HLTH, Gartner Symposium - turning sponsorships into business development moments.
  • Design and produce proprietary events - client dinners, executive roundtables, prospect briefings, and brand activations for C-suite audiences.
  • Run the full logistics lifecycle - venue sourcing, vendor negotiation, contracts, budgets, run-of-show, and on-site execution.
  • Partner with Sales, Client Services, and Brand so every event has an objective, a target list, and a follow-up plan.
  • Report on ROI - pipeline influenced, executive engagement, sentiment. Outcomes, not attendance numbers.

Executive & Personal Support
  • Manage CEO scheduling, logistics, and day-to-day arrangements while he is in New York City, coordinating with his PA.
  • Support the executive team at key events with briefing preparation and on-site coordination.
  • Anticipate needs before they arise and handle everything with absolute discretion.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 3-7 years in corporate or B2B events, ideally in technology, CX, BPO, healthcare, or financial services. Experience spanning events and executive support is a strong plus.
  • Full-cycle event ownership - strategy, budget, vendors, logistics, on-site execution, and measurement, without handing off.
  • Executive-facing production for C-suite audiences, where there is no margin for visible error.
  • A pipeline-oriented mindset and operational discipline under pressure.
  • Professional and discreet, moving between personal support and event logistics without missing a beat.
  • Technology fluency (Cvent or Splash; Asana or Monday.com) and a vendor network across key conference markets.
  • New York City based - available in person for CEO visits and key events. Low ego, high output.

Compensation & Benefits
$140,000-$170,000 base + discretionary bonus, plus medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), and paid time off. Actual pay may vary by skills, experience, and location.
Everise is an equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive, diverse workplace where every Champion can do the best work of their career.
If you've got the skills to succeed and the motivation to make it happen, we look forward to hearing from you.
