Description of Job Duties
  1. Assist in maintaining social media accounts for the English Language Institute (ELI).
  2. Assist with programming for the English Language Institute, as appropriate. Responsibilities may include assisting with the coordination of ELI activities, orientations, and end of term celebrations.
  3. Assist the ELI Director with current and prospective student communication.
  4. Assist with coordinating student arrival and orientation.
  5. Assist in maintaining ELI student files, programmatic resources and databases.
  6. Liaise with campus offices such as Residence Life, Registrar, International Admission, and the Dyson Wellness Center, as needed.
  7. Greet current and prospective ELI students in a professional manner.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  9. Perform general office duties such as filing, creating labels and making copies.

Minimum:
  • Currently enrolled as a North Central College student in good academic standing.
  • Show strong attention to detail and ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate with staff, faculty, students, and community members in a clear, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills.
  • Basic computer skills in programs such as Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Adobe and be comfortable working with data and completing office processes using the computer.
  • Ability to work in databases and spreadsheets and enter data with minimal error.

Preferred:
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
