Job description

The Director of Sales Enablement is responsible for building and executing programs and processes that enable customer-facing Sales Executives to drive sales revenue and manage customer sales cycles more effectively. They will serve as a strategic bridge between sales and all internal cross functional teams including operations, account management, service delivery, sales engineering, sales operations, product, and marketing. The objectives being to improve sales efficiency, increase consistency of overachieving sales quota and drive revenue growth within the department to reach across the vast addressable market.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Translate department’s goals and vision into actionable plans, objectives, and metrics, and monitor and adjust them as needed.
  • Standardize direct Enterprise Sales motions and methodologies across various segments: Government, Education, Large Enterprise and Security.
  • Manage internal processes for all sales opportunities end-to-end including interdepartmental requests, communication, and accountability checks.
  • Oversee department orders after sale to ensure fulfillment and billing are completed.
  • Coordinate and work directly with all internal cross functional departments for optimal and efficient pre-sales & post-sale process.
  • Manage department CRM - Maintain existing data, enter new data and update entries as needed.
  • Manage additional systems necessary to advance, track, and complete internal tasks.
  • Support sales on all individual opportunities and larger departmental initiatives to assist in driving revenue.
  • Work directly with customers and prospects pre-sale to collect data, schedule milestones, and communicate important information.
  • Partner with Product Department to convert new product offerings into sellable assets for direct sales teams.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in sales, sales enablement, sales operations, learning and development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing and executing sales enablement strategies that improve sales productivity, onboarding, and revenue performance.
  • Experience partnering with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product, and Operations to align enablement initiatives with business objectives.
