Empower Strategies Consulting is hiring for a full-service public affairs and strategic communications firm based in Arlington, Virginia. We partner with advocacy organizations, corporations, campaigns, and mission-driven clients to deliver integrated communications strategies spanning public affairs, corporate communications, digital strategy, advertising, and media buying.

Empower Strategies Consulting is seeking a creative and driven Senior Director to join an expanding Digital Strategy practice. This individual will play a key leadership role in developing innovative digital campaigns, managing client relationships, and helping high-profile advocacy organizations and public affairs clients achieve measurable results.

Your day in this position may include:
  • Developing and executing comprehensive digital strategies for public affairs and advocacy clients, identifying opportunities to maximize campaign performance and achieve client objectives.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to clients by managing day-to-day relationships, expanding existing accounts, and contributing to new business development through strategic proposals and presentations.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of digital strategists, ensuring successful execution across multiple client engagements while fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Partnering with the Creative team to develop compelling visual assets, including branding materials, one-pagers, digital advertising creative, social media graphics, and campaign collateral.
  • Collaborating with the Digital Advertising team to develop media strategies, launch campaigns, monitor performance, and deliver insightful client reporting.
  • Working cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure digital initiatives are executed efficiently, on schedule, and aligned with broader client objectives.

  • Advanced writing and editing skills, including experience developing materials for senior-level stakeholders and a strong understanding of AP Style.
  • Experience utilizing digital and social media platforms to support advocacy, public affairs, and integrated communications campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success developing digital strategies, managing client relationships, and delivering measurable campaign results.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflows and operational efficiency while adhering to company guidelines and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
