Job description

AMETEK MOCON is seeking a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing and supply chain performance at out Brooklyn Park facility. In this role, you will drive operational efficiency, ensure high standards in quality and delivery, and build strong teams to support business growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, planning, inventory, logistics, and distribution operations.
  • Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently met.
  • Drive production planning, SIOP processes, and material flow to support customer demand.
  • Leverage ERP systems to improve forecasting, inventory, and operational performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Manage budgets, capital planning, and cost improvement efforts.
  • Develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support operational execution and new product introductions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing/operations leadership experience.
  • Strong ERP and data-driven decision-making experience.
  • Proven success in continuous improvement and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Preferred:
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Epicor or SAP experience
  • Six Sigma certification
