Job description

PURPOSE   

Ensure seamless SCM processes for Wholesale accounts, to enable best-in-class delivery timing and execution of demand to customers. Focused on supply + demand alignment and mitigation, monthly planning, outbound operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and holistic supply execution.    

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Overall - Drive continuous planning, process, system, and service improvements to achieve on-time availability and delivery for Wholesale accounts, while supporting strategic wholesale business priorities. 
  • Monitor Supply Chain Performance - Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure supply chain efficiency and effectiveness, maintaining best in class Availability and On-Time Shipping, specifically key program tracking. 
  • Preseason Planning - Support sales, merchandising, and planning on seasonal assortments to align order deadline needs, RID feasibility, and key programs for tracking, as well as flagging risks due to order minimums or other issues. 
  • Deployment & Fulfillment Planning - Collaborate with Sales to set seasonal fulfillment mix targets, inclusive of Direct Ship and Never-Out-Of-Stock, provide seasonal input to x-functional teams, then monitor to ensure execution. 
  • In-Season Orderbook Alignment - Ensure Sales Order demand and supply alignment in-season, and liaison any necessary orderbook changes between Sales/Accounts and Order Management. 
  • Supply Forecasting - Maintain regular and accurate forecasting of in-season supply execution to meet demand and support business objectives, inclusive of bottom's up financial forecasting. 
  • Data Analysis - Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Reporting - Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates on supply chain performance, including supply availability and fulfillment performance, highlighting key insights and recommendations, and any ad hoc requests as needed. 
  • Internal Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Order Management, Product Supply, Demand Planning, BUs, Sales, Inbound, DC Operations, and Deployment, to ensure seamless supply chain execution. 
  • Key Account Management - Work directly key customers and/or Sales teams on current availability projections, potential risks, and continuous process improvements to enable top and bottom-line growth, inclusive of standing connections and quarterly business reviews 
  • Ensure Customer Compliance - Coordinate operations back with Customer Compliance teams to ensure full compliance with customer agreements and Vendor Guides. 
  • Process Improvement - Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain operations and reduce costs, inclusive of but not limited to fulfillment execution and outbound efficiencies. 
  • Risk Management - Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply. 
  • Support Strategic Initiatives - Contribute to the development and execution of strategic supply chain initiatives to support overall business goals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • In-depth understanding of Wholesale supply chain processes, including purchasing, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. 
  • General knowledge of demand forecasting, supply planning, and financial planning. 
  • Familiarity with KPIs related to supply chain performance that drive on-time Availability and Shipping performance, including risk assessment, mitigation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assemble data, interpret it, craft executive summaries and deliver business insights 
  • Understanding of methodologies for process improvement, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen. 
  • Industry-specific knowledge/experience, particularly in the athletic footwear and apparel space. 
  • Strong project management skills to oversee and implement supply chain initiatives. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence various departments, including Product Supply, Demand Planning, Sales, and Operations. 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing supply chain processes and data. 
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (SAP) and data analysis tools (PowerBI, Excel, Tableau). 
  • Ability to interact with key retailers and understand their needs to drive customer satisfaction and business growth. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and supply chain dynamics. 
  • Ability to contribute to the development and execution of broader strategic supply chain initiatives. 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • College or university degree with a focus supply chain management, post graduate level preferred; alternatively equivalent combination of education and related work experience in the field of Logistics, Footwear and/or Apparel 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Customer Service environment within the footwear and apparel industry 
  • Preferred experience in management roles or external stakeholder management
