We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Delivery Practitioner to join our Wealth Services Platform team. This role is located in Jersey City, NJ.
 

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Portfolio Alignment and Strategic Execution

  • Serve as a strategic partner across Product, Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, Scrum, and Client Enablement teams to ensure priorities are managed within a broader portfolio and program framework.

  • Bring an enterprise mindset to align end-to-end capabilities, delivery objectives, interdependencies, and workflow requirements across multiple initiatives and workstreams.

  • Ensure priorities are sequenced and executed as part of an integrated program strategy that strengthens value realization, execution consistency, and alignment to business objectives.

  • Connect delivery efforts to broader portfolio goals by improving coordination across teams, aligning demand to capacity, and reinforcing focus on the highest-value outcomes.

Delivery Excellence and Governance Discipline

  • Drive structure, predictability, and accountability across delivery by establishing clear plans, maintaining backlog discipline, and using delivery metrics to provide transparent status, risk, dependency, and progress reporting.

  • Strengthen execution rigor through active participation in agile ceremonies, PI Planning, and cross-team synchronization forums to ensure commitments, milestones, and delivery capacity remain aligned.

  • Reinforce strong governance practices through disciplined JIRA management, audit-ready documentation, and consistent evidence of controls to support operational integrity and delivery quality.

  • Improve delivery performance by proactively removing barriers, managing escalations, and ensuring teams remain focused on timely and effective execution.

Program Insight and Value Realization

  • Connect execution activity to strategic outcomes by maintaining visibility across platform capabilities, workflow dependencies, and evolving business priorities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve prioritization, sequencing, and delivery impact across the portfolio by translating execution insights, process analysis, and stakeholder input into actionable recommendations.

  • Create feedback loops that support roadmap alignment, inform trade-off decisions, and improve overall program effectiveness and business value realization.

  • Help leadership make better decisions by providing a clear view of progress, challenges, and opportunities across interconnected initiatives.

Data-Driven Delivery and Continuous Improvement

  • Strengthen delivery outcomes through the disciplined use of performance metrics, OKRs, KPIs, and process insights to improve prioritization, surface risks early, and support data-informed decision-making.

  • Ensure execution remains measurable, outcome-focused, and aligned to quality, efficiency, throughput, and business impact goals.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practices, driving operational discipline, and supporting knowledge exchange across teams and communities of practice.

  • Contribute to building a more agile, adaptive, and high-performing delivery organization through ongoing process optimization and learning.
     

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:  

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in portfolio management, program management, delivery leadership, product strategy, platform consulting, or related roles within fintech, wealthtech, or financial services.
  • Proven experience leading delivery across complex, cross-functional environments, partnering effectively across Product, Engineering, QE, Operations, Scrum, and business stakeholders.

  • Strong expertise in portfolio and program execution, including prioritization, dependency management, roadmap alignment, governance, and value realization.

  • Practical experience with agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, backlog management, iteration planning, PI Planning, and delivery controls.

  • Strong analytical and data literacy skills, including the ability to define and use OKRs, KPIs, journey maps, and visual insights to guide execution and measure results.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve delivery excellence through structured planning, risk management, transparent reporting, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Experience supporting AI/ML or Agentic AI-enabled initiatives with an understanding of responsible implementation, policy guardrails, and outcome measurement.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across senior leadership, business partners, and technical teams.

  • Strong structured problem-solving skills, including proactive risk identification, escalation management, trade-off decisions, and coordination across interdependent workstreams.

  • A collaborative, resilient, and improvement-oriented mindset with a strong focus on execution, accountability, and measurable business value.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $130,000 and $281,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
