Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, up to 2 days remote)

Job Summary
The Director of Data Analytics will own the roadmap for data, business intelligence, and analytics to drive clinical, operational, and financial performance. The Director will serve as the primary translator between technical data systems and operational leaders to ensure insights directly inform key business initiatives. This senior leader will build and mentor a high-performing team, partnering with executive and clinical leadership across our outpatient, research, value-based care, and rehab divisions while maintaining strict HIPAA and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute a company-wide data and analytics roadmap aligned with clinical and business growth objectives.
  • Hire, mentor, and lead a team of Data and BI Analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and strategic thinking.
  • Oversee data governance, ensuring high data quality, accuracy, scalability, and strict compliance with HIPAA, PHI standards, and industry regulations.
  • Translate complex data into clear executive dashboards, story-driven reporting, and actionable insights to guide strategic investments and operational strategy.
  • Partner with clinical operations and research teams to integrate analytics directly into EHR workflows, tracking clinical outcomes, patient access metrics, and provider performance.
  • Own projects end-to-end, from framing and planning through execution and delivery, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee predictive modeling and advanced reporting capabilities to support value-based care contracts, payer negotiations, and revenue cycle management (RCM).
  • Establish a self-service analytics capability for end users, leveraging AI-enabled tools where available to reduce reliance on the analytics team for routine reporting.
  • Define the organization's applied AI strategy for analytics, identifying high-value use cases while ensuring responsible, compliant use of AI with PHI.
  • Stay informed on emerging data techniques, industry trends, and drive innovation to ensure best-in-class data practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years in Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, with 3+ years in a team leadership or manager-level role.
  • Prior experience in healthcare data analytics; outpatient, behavioral health, or clinical research settings preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, clinical outcome measures, and value-based care metrics.
  • Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern BI/notebook-based analytics platforms; direct experience with Hex a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record databases, billing/claims data, and data pipeline concepts.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex, quantitative concepts to non-technical operational leaders, physicians, and executive stakeholders.

Compensation: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
