Position Summary:
As a Data Engineer on our Finance & Analytics team, you will build and maintain the cloud data infrastructure that powers reporting and insights across the organization. Working closely with our analysts and reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will keep our data pipelines reliable, expand our warehouse as new data sources come online, and help shape the structures that turn raw data into trusted analytical outputs.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role on a small, collaborative team. Successful candidates are technically strong, detail-oriented, and thrive in an environment with a lot of growth and change.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build, maintain, and expand data pipelines and cloud warehouse infrastructure supporting analytics and reporting.
  • Integrate and onboard data from a variety of platforms and source systems into the warehouse.
  • Maintain and optimize the processing and relational modeling of data within the warehouse to support analytics-ready outputs.
  • Ensure day-to-day data reliability, quality, and availability across the platform.
  • Prepare and support clean, dependable data feeds for reporting in Tableau.
  • Partner with analysts on data discovery, query construction, and support for deeper analyses.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance and cost.
  • Collaborate on the design of data structures and emerging AI/knowledge-base capabilities under the direction of the team.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation for data pipelines, integrations, warehouse structures, and data transformation processes to support knowledge sharing and long-term sustainability.
  • Monitor data pipeline performance and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality, processing, and integration issues.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand data requirements and implement scalable solutions that support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Support the adoption of development best practices including source control, code management, and change tracking for data engineering solutions.

Qualifications/ Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in data engineering or a related field required.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and pipeline tools; experience with Azure (Data Factory, Azure SQL, ADLS) and Databricks preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple source systems, including relational databases, cloud warehouses, and on-prem systems.
  • Working knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling.
  • Experience using Git or other source control platforms for managing and maintaining code repositories.
  • Experience integrating and consuming data through APIs and modern application interfaces.
  • Familiarity with collaborative development practices, version control workflows, and deployment processes.
  • Experience documenting technical solutions, data flows, and system integrations.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar modern data and analytics platforms preferred.
  • Effective communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to data preparation for BI tools such as Tableau preferred.
  • Exposure to data layers or knowledge bases supporting LLM / AI applications preferred.
