TITLE: Project Coordination Manager
LOCATION: Ashburn, VA
POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Coordination Manager’s responsibilities include working closely with our Project Manager to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. To succeed in the role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Oversee and manage multiple team members.
  • Work to delegate and distribute workload among team members.
  • Work to track project performance and oversee short- and long-term goals of each team member.
  • Work to manage and assist in resolving issues that arise within projects.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, and other various documentation.
  • Organize, attend, and participate in various meetings.
  • Document and follow up on important action items from meetings.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Determining project changes.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Undertake project tasks as required.
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Work to take on additional duties as assigned by Director when needed.
  • Work to review, approve and track Time and Vacation of team members.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study.
  • Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.
  • Knowledge in file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
Computer Skills:
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner.
