Job Description:

The Lead, Contracts will provide contractual guidance/direction as it relates to the execution of company programs, business development, and day-to-day operations.ย  This role will oversee and execute contracts and support compliance with FAR, DFAR, and all applicable contract documents.

Essential Functions:

  • Preparation, negotiation, acceptance and management of contracts including time and materials, firm-fixed price, fixed price incentive fee, and cost reimbursement.
  • Provide contractual advice and guidance and work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program office, finance, pricing and security for seamless contract administration.
  • Provide knowledge of applicable government regulations in the execution of business activity. Serve as advisor and make recommendations as needed on contractual, proposal and business matters.
  • Support proposal efforts including review of contract provisions and review of proposal response.
  • Conduct negotiation activity and settlement of provisions, producing sound contract terms and conditions, teaming agreements, contract amendments/modifications, which mitigate/minimize company risk and support company goals.
  • Comply with procedures and systems necessary to afford adequate contract controls and services, including contract records management and reporting.
  • Coordinate all essential activity with legal Counsel and obtain necessary approvals for proposal submittals, contract negotiation, award, execution, and close-out.
  • Work with business development and program departments to support current and future business needs.
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems; use sound reasoning to reach conclusions; find alternatives.
  • Proficiency to work with standard computer products and devices including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), the Internet and the ability to comprehend and learn new software.
  • Ability to perform multi-faceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
  • Advanced working knowledge of FAR / DFAR and Commercial Terms, ITAR and general law.
  • Consistently maintains a high level of productivity; ability to manage priorities; high degree of flexibility; ability to meet deadlines; multi-task oriented; pays attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain andย  mantain a US Secret clearance.

Qualifications:

ย 

  • Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

  • 6+ years of experience managing contracts in the DoD space. ย

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • In addition to depth of USG contract management experience, the ideal candidate would also have contract management experience in the international / foreign military direct commercial sales.
  • Strong communication skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $110,500 - $205,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
