Job description

Lineage is seeking a Director, Commercial Finance to serve as the lead financial partner to our Sales organization, with primary responsibility for the Western half of the U.S. and all of Canada. This leader will drive profitable growth by shaping pricing strategy, improving commercial performance, and sharpening financial decision-making in close partnership with Commercial, Sales, Operations, FP&A, Accounting, and Executive Leadership.
The Director will also lead and develop a team of Commercial Finance professionals and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership-delivering actionable insights, sophisticated financial models, and strategic initiatives that support Lineage's growth objectives.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Financial Leadership

  • Serve as the senior finance partner to Commercial and Sales leadership, providing strategic financial guidance and decision support.
  • Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the marketplace.
  • Evaluate customer contracts, pricing proposals, and commercial opportunities to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Drive financial analysis and recommendations related to customer profitability, revenue growth, margin enhancement, and business expansion opportunities.
  • Lead financial due diligence and support strategic initiatives, including market expansion opportunities, acquisitions, and major customer partnerships.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the commercial finance and related processes.

Financial Analysis & Business Intelligence

  • Oversee the execution sophisticated pricing, revenue forecasting, profitability, and business models.
  • Lead the analysis of financial and operational performance metrics to identify commercial trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Deliver executive-level commercial business reviews that provide meaningful insights to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Support quarterly forecast and earnings processes as appropriate.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing Commercial Finance team-setting clear expectations, coaching, and driving accountability and results.
  • Infuse Lineage's values and a "win as a team" mentality, building an inclusive, engaged, and collaborative culture.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Executive Influence

  • Build strong partnerships with senior leaders across Commercial, Operations, Legal, and other Finance functions.
  • Influence decision-making across matrixed teams without direct authority.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by translating complex financial concepts into clear business recommendations.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of progressive finance, commercial finance, pricing, or FP&A experience, including 5+ years leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience supporting commercial organizations in a complex, multi-site, or large-scale environment preferred.

Technical & Business Skills

  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, pricing and profitability analysis, forecasting, and business case development.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large volumes of financial and operational data into actionable insights.
  • Strong business acumen, balancing strategic thinking with operational execution and a track record of driving scalable process improvements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, plus working knowledge in systems such as Salesforce, Workday, Adaptive Planning, Sigma.
