Job Summary
 

The Coat Check Attendant is responsible for providing efficient, friendly, and organized service to guests by checking, storing, and returning personal belongings during events. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive guest experience in a fast-paced convention environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Receive and tag coats, bags, umbrellas, and other personal items
  • Issue claim tickets and ensure accurate tracking of all items
  • Hang and store items neatly and securely
  • Retrieve belongings quickly and accurately upon guest request
  • Resolve issues such as misplaced or lost items and escalate when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient coat check area
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of coat check stations (racks, hangers, tickets, etc.)
  • Follow all safety, security, and customer service standards
  • Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume event setting
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry items such as coats and bags
  • Comfortable working in crowded event environments
