Behavioral Healthcare Partners of Central Ohio (BHP) is seeking an experienced and visionary Clinical Director to lead our outpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder programs. This executive leadership position is responsible for providing strategic clinical direction, operational oversight, and staff leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional, person-centered behavioral healthcare services.

The Clinical Director plays a critical role in developing high-performing clinical teams, advancing quality improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering collaboration across the organization and throughout the community. Working closely with executive leadership, clinical staff, referral partners, and community organizations, the Clinical Director helps shape the future of behavioral healthcare while improving outcomes for individuals and families throughout Central Ohio.

What You'll Do

As the Clinical Director, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for outpatient mental health, substance use disorder, school-based, correctional, and other assigned clinical programs.
  • Lead, mentor, and support clinical supervisors and multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee evidence-based clinical practices, policies, and procedures that promote high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Ensure continuity of services, operational excellence, and appropriate staffing across all assigned programs.
  • Monitor clinical quality, documentation, productivity, and key performance indicators to drive positive client outcomes and operational performance.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with agency leadership to strengthen clinical services and organizational effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare providers, referral sources, community partners, and other stakeholders to promote coordinated, integrated care.
  • Ensure compliance with CARF accreditation standards, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health requirements, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Represent BHP in leadership meetings, community collaborations, and strategic initiatives that support the organization's mission and growth.
  • Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practices across all clinical services.
What We're Looking ForEducation
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field required.
Licensure
  • Independent Ohio behavioral health license required (LISW-S, LPCC-S, or equivalent).
  • Supervisory designation (S) preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license required.
Experience
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible behavioral healthcare leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams in an outpatient behavioral healthcare setting.
  • Experience with CARF accreditation, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health standards, and evidence-based clinical practices preferred.
