BlueLabs' Political Strategy & Advocacy Practice sits within our Client Solutions Team, leading our custom analytics programs with major domestic and international political clients. Our team is a dynamic, collaborative group that thrives on developing customized strategies and exploring cutting-edge tools to meet the unique needs of each client. About the role:

BlueLabs seeks motivated, dynamic, and seasoned growth leaders to contribute to and drive significant new revenue growth for our Political Strategy & Advocacy Practice. Depending on your experience level, you will enter as a Director, Senior Director, or Managing Director.

Across all levels, this role is a primary engine for net-new revenue, responsible for shaping and executing the go-to-market strategy for the Political Strategy & Advocacy Practice, developing a robust sales pipeline, and closing new accounts. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of landing and expanding political business, leveraging an established professional network and sharp business development acumen to significantly contribute to the firm's growth and strengthen BlueLabs' position with top-tier political clients. 

In this position, you will be responsible for:

New Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Proactively and independently identify, target, and secure new client engagements with major political and advocacy clients, consistently advancing prospects through the sales cycle to close complex deals.
  • Leverage your established network to open new doors and create meaningful entry points into political and advocacy organizations.
  • Develop tailored pitches, proposals, and go-to-market strategies that align BlueLabs' capabilities with client pain points and strategic priorities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue, pipeline, and growth targets tailored to your level.

Client Engagement & Delivery Excellence

  • Cultivate strong executive relationships, acting as a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and thought leader to new and existing clients.
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and measurable client impact that supports long-term expansion opportunities.
  • Advocate for client needs internally, ensuring project success and contributing to BlueLabs' broader market positioning and value proposition.

Technical Expertise & Communication

  • Clearly articulate BlueLabs' technical offerings-including analytics, modeling, experimentation, AI and more-to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on and review proposals, pitch decks, RFPs, and client deliverables to ensure strategic alignment and excellence across the practice.
  • Prepare and communicate weekly updates on pipeline activity, new business progress, and client relationship health for senior leadership.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with internal technical and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of client engagements. 
  • Partner with departmental and organizational leadership to identify new market opportunities and convert strategic initiatives into actionable growth plans. 
  • Mentor, support, and guide team members working on client engagements (with formal direct report management scaling by level). 
  • Contribute thought leadership, market insights, and external-facing material that elevates BlueLabs' presence in the analytics and data science space, with the scope and expectation of independent thought leadership scaling by level.

Qualifications

Core Requirements (All Levels):

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding ambitious sales quotas in a consultative/ professional services environment. 
  • Familiarity with or deep understanding of consumer analytics, influencer analytics, AI, persuasion modeling, and experimental design.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build immediate credibility and rapport with senior executives and stakeholders.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to craft creative, data-driven solutions tailored to unique client needs. 
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.

Experience & Leveling Tiers

Candidates will be placed into one of the three tiers based on their professional experience and scope of leadership:

Director

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in sales or business development within professional services, consulting, political tech, or the data and analytics space.
  • Key Focus & Impact: Clear expectation of landing new logos and securing client engagements within the first 3-6 months of employment.
  • Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000+ base salary plus commission. 

Senior Director

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in sales or business development within professional services, consulting, political campaigns, or the data and analytics space. 
  • Key Focus & Impact: Expectation of securing new client engagements and logos within the first 3-6 months of employment, while ensuring the delivery of project excellence.
  • Compensation: $160,000 - $175,000 base salary plus commission. 

Managing Director

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in sales and/or business development with demonstrated success landing and growing major political and advocacy accounts.
  • Key Focus & Impact:
    • Clear expectation of independently landing new engagements and logos within the first 30-90 days of employment.
    • Mentor staff on client engagements with potential to manage direct reports.
    • Partner with senior leadership to define overarching strategy for and direction of the Political Strategy & Advocacy Practice.
  • Compensation: $170,000 - $200,000+ base salary plus commission.
