Job description

The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza is hiring an Assistant Director of Housekeeping. The hotel assistant housekeeping manager supports the executive housekeeper by supervising daily cleaning operations, inspecting guest rooms, and managing staff.



Responsibilities:
  • Daily Operations: Assign tasks to room attendants and housepersons, track room cleaning status, and update the front desk.

  • Quality Control: Inspect guest rooms and public spaces, giving feedback and enforcing cleanliness rules.

  • Staff Management: Train new hires, mentor team members, and handle scheduling or performance issues.

  • Inventory & Maintenance: Count cleaning supplies, reorder stock, and report room damage to the engineering team.

  • Guest Services: Resolve guest complaints and manage lost-and-found items.


Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED (a hospitality college degree can replace work experience).

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of supervisory work in housekeeping or a hotel environment.

  • Skills: Strong leadership, clear communication, organization, and basic knowledge of safety rules like OSHA.
