Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Business Applications Director to define and drive the enterprise technology strategy while managing operations across a portfolio of business systems. The role involves shaping technology roadmaps, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring high system performance to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Define and drive the enterprise technology strategy and manage operations across an expansive portfolio of business systems with a focus on operational excellence and business enablement.
• Act in a critical and influential role in shaping enterprise technology decisions and investments while maintaining responsibility for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable solutions to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
• Shape technology roadmaps to enhance our applications and ensure integrated business systems, applications, and platforms.
• Direct enterprise application development, delivery, and maintenance to ensure high system performance and user satisfaction while assessing existing technology effectiveness and roadmaps to develop strategies for improving or evolving these systems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and strategic partnerships to enable the company’s growth trajectory and harness the power of AI within corporations.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors to ensure optimal service delivery in line with business needs while also spearheading improvements to increase integration across all aspects of the portfolio’s operations and delivery.
• Advance the portfolio by staying at the forefront of industry trends and introducing innovation, while continuously mitigating risk, managing change, and fostering a culture of cross-team collaboration, collective ingenuity, and shared success.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 15+ years of experience with enterprise business applications and SDLC
• Experience working with senior leaders across functional teams, including HR, finance, procurement, growth, marketing, and legal, to align technology strategies and roadmaps to business goals
• Experience managing vendors across various locations and geographies
• Experience defining technical application strategies, including API and integration, Cloud migration, and legacy product decommissioning plans
• Experience working with Corporate Audit and IT delivery teams to define and maintain an effective suite of SOX or ITGC controls adapting to changes in products, business processes, and technology solutions for proactive management and automated testing
• Experience developing strategies to improve incident management processes and providing guidance to efficiently resolve technical issues
• Ability to streamline processes with a focus on increased automation
• Bachelor’s degree
Preferred:
• Experience building trust and strong cross-functional relationships across an organization to achieve common goals
• Knowledge of Workday, Deltek Costpoint, iValua, Salesforce, and ServiceNow
• Ability to be assertive and influence across all levels, including influencing others without direct position power
• Ability to attract and retain top talent and create a culture that empowers strong product owners
• Ability to think about the big picture while understanding key technical details and nuance
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, to perform critical conversations
• Possession of excellent business acumen and business judgment
