The Business Insights and Analytics (BI&A) team is a global analytics and insights function focused on driving improved patient and business outcomes through the delivery of strategic and innovative insights grounded in data and analytics. The Associate Director-BI&A HCP Product Analytics is responsible for helping the HCP BI&A team, business, and functional partner teams make data-driven decisions. This role reports to the Senior Director - BI&A HCP, HCO and Payer Analytics.

Responsibilities and Key Objectives

  • Identify, prioritize, deploy, and implement analytical products that provide data-driven insights, help answer critical questions, and meet business partner decision needs
  • Lead product strategy and collaborate with counterparts across BUs and analytic teams to ensure consistent analytics' product choices, data definitions, and business rules to enable opportunities to scale across the enterprise
  • Champion AI-ready data development by partnering with data engineering to ensure datasets are structured, governed, and optimized for machine learning and AI applications
  • Understand BI&A internal needs for efficiency, Brand/Business Unit strategies, market dynamics, and data sources to ensure analytic product recommendations and key workstreams align to the broader organizational strategy
  • Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle for analytics products - from requirements gathering and design through deployment, adoption, and iteration
  • Drive system migration initiatives, including transitioning legacy analytics platforms to modern cloud-based environments, ensuring continuity and data integrity throughout
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of teammates and business partners as a part of a highly matrixed organization
  • Contribute to an inclusive community within and outside of BI&A
  • Facilitate the cooperation, discussion, and execution between BI&A data engineering team, BI&A Product Teams, and Tech@Lilly for the building and deploying of consistent datasets for analysis
  • Ensure business decisions are made with solid supporting evidence grounded in analytics products that include actionable business insights and recommendations through effective communication
  • Facilitate the documentation and deployment of code and methodology to increase reusability and efficiency across BI&A
  • Manage and partner with external vendors when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all privacy and contractual obligations related to the use of data
  • Orchestrate and coordinate analytics product deployment and implementation within team to efficiently triage analytics requirements and help prioritize analytics backlog in partnership with stakeholders
  • Provide analytics product coaching and training for teams on business impact, biases, and trade-offs with both approach and implementation
  • Champion the use of our products across the organization
  • Support a prospectively designed and planned testing culture that rapidly tests, measures, and iterates on marketing content and activity
  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for GOSO (Global Omnichannel Strategy Operations) Team, including Dynamic Targeting (DT), Field Reimbursement Management (FRM), Greenhouse Team, and Commercial Operations, along with the Brand teams - building trusted relationships and translating complex analytics into clear business guidance

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or related degree
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in an analytics function

Additional Skills / Preferences

  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake) for large-scale data processing and analytics workflows
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with business acumen and an ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment
  • Proficiency in Databricks, including working with Delta Lake, notebooks, and MLflow for analytics and model development
  • Experience with Agentic AI and/or Gen AI
  • Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to system migration projects, particularly transitioning analytics or data infrastructure to modern platforms
  • Broad awareness and solid understanding of descriptive through prescriptive analytics
  • Experience in analytics product development, including ownership of the full product lifecycle from concept through delivery and adoption
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate analytics concepts and influence change with a variety of business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills, and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Sophisticated competence in a coding language (R, SAS, SQL, Python, etc.)
  • Consistent history of delivering complex cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence individuals from executive to associate levels

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$132,000 - $193,600

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
