Job description


Amazon's State and Local Tax (SALT) Audit team is seeking a Sr. Tax Analyst to support tax audit matters with government agencies. The role has regular interaction with leaders in various business units across Amazon and government auditors.

Working with a high level of independence, the successful candidate will coordinate across multiple functions including tax planning, compliance, and tax policy.
Key job responsibilities
- Research and document state and local tax issues and positions
- Prepare and Analyze data in response to Information Document Requests
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives
- Lead and assist with special projects
A day in the life
You'll partner with tax professionals to research and analyze complex state tax issues and respond to audit information document requests. You'll work with the latest AI tools to explore and develop insights that increase controllership.

You'll engage with colleagues across different tax teams to share insights and best practices.
About the team
The State and Local Tax Audit team has responsibility for direct and indirect audits of Amazon's tax filings. We partner with SALT Planning, Compliance and multiple business units on audit matters and process improvements.
