Job description

As a Program Manager for Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab, you will be responsible for leading medium to large scale projects from initiation through delivery within larger business change programs. In this role, you will gather requirements from appropriate business owners, and internal partners, write clear and detailed functional specifications, prioritize programs, features, and drive technical scoping as needed. You are responsible for leading and developing complex global programs, projects, tests and research in order to drive programs across lines of business (LOB) to deliver customer-centric solutions that meet multiple stakeholder re. Utilizing program management and project management best practices, partnering with advertisers, sales, supply chain teams, finance, management, product and program stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering requirements from appropriate business owners, development of clear and detailed functional specifications and technical scoping as needed. The Program Manager will build relationships between teams where direct influence is required, serves as primary escalation point for project team members, and is able to balance trade-offs and priorities in order to drive multiple organization impact. The candidate will have experience in identification, selection, scoping and leading process improvement projects at a business level. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering results, developing and effectively utilizing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and successfully managing risks, requirements and stakeholder expectations.
This position requires a customer-centric, solution-oriented candidate with a combination of experience developing and leading for leading medium to large scale projects, and an analytical mindset to develop solutions that are organized and simple to understand. Key job responsibilities
This role will be responsible for the optimization of procedures, process, and best practices. You will be responsible for the execution of a defined strategy that can require tailored adjustments to production or deployment plans which use your knowledge and skills to decide which changes are most effective to satisfy goals.
• You will design short and long-term solutions across both internal and external teams, including supply chains, delivering on campaigns in partnership with other teams, with limited oversight or guidance.
• You influence your team and you will work often across internal and external teams to meet goals.
• Working on multiple projects at once will be standard and at times, you may work on a program-scale deliverable.
• While your work is tactical, you are learning to be strategic.
• You will identify and define risk-mitigation contingencies and define how to capitalize on their opportunities.
• You represent the interests of the Amazon Ads organization, advertisers, and our end-customers with partners and encourage vendors to prioritize these initiatives without introducing new costs, complexities, or risks.
• You are able to understand and manage difficult efforts and you use your knowledge to communicate clearly with your customers/partner teams/stakeholders.
• You are able to mitigate immediate risks and determine when to escalate problems/issues that arise.
• You're responsible for effectively managing your time and making trade-offs between time vs. quality vs. resources.
About the team
At Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab, we operate across a complete cycle of innovation, from incubation to iteration, and integration, where we integrate our innovations into complete products or features. In the earliest stage, we incubate first-of-their-kind, strategically significant programs which utilize multiple aspects of Amazon's canvas, from Prime Video to Amazon Music, Devices, Stores, and much more. We're looking for an accomplished program manager to play a vital role on the Brand Innovation Lab team across all verticals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
