WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider with past or present Oncology work experience to meet the growing demand for our Oncology - Hematology team atFranciscan Physician Network Oncology & Hematology Specialists located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate closely with another inpatient APP, as well as a weekly rotation of medical oncologists on the inpatient setting.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have past or present experience in oncology and/or as a hospitalist. Nurse Practitioner will have a focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with inpatient clinical staff. Provider will need to work collaboratively with physician to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Flexible full-time schedule

  • Inpatient night call: Will rotate 2 night calls (Monday-Thursday) with fellow NP

  • Average inpatient volume: 20 patients per day

  • Average patient consults: 5 consults per day

  • Experience in Oncology is strongly desired

  • Will collaborate with rotating oncologist on assessment and plan

  • Common Diagnoses:

    • Breast

    • Colon

    • Lung

    • Head and neck

    • Rectal

    • Benign and malignant hematologic disorders

  • Collaborate with rotating oncologists weekly

  • Develop heightened inpatient oncology assessment skills

  • Engage with clinical staff providing direct patient care

  • Oversight of infusion center patients; available for assistance as needed
