Job description

Pay Rate: $95,000 - $110,000/year

Our team manages the full lifecycle from application engineering and 3D design to structural fabrication, wiring and piping, sound and thermal management, code compliance, factory acceptance testing, and site support. With scalable production capacity and disciplined program management, PSI delivers repeatable quality and reliable performance on complex builds for mission-critical and industrial applications worldwide.

Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Lean and CI, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for establishing and sustaining foundational manufacturing engineering systems to support efficient, scalable, and high-quality production in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role will lead the development and implementation of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, standard work, fixtures, and ERP (Epicor) integration, ensuring full manufacturing readiness, process stability, and cost visibility.

The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain, to define, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, support new product introduction (NPI), and drive operational excellence through robust engineering practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain accurate BOMs and routings to support production execution, cost control, and planning accuracy
  • Establish and improve standard work, labor standards, and process flows across manufacturing operations
  • Lead ERP (Epicor) manufacturing data structure, including item masters, job structures, and process integration
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring full manufacturing readiness
  • Define and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment
  • Serve as a technical liaison between Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and process documentation
  • Support plant layout and workflow improvements
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen)
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • All other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Proven experience developing BOMs, routings, and manufacturing process structures
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production systems
  • Experience supporting NPI and manufacturing readiness
  • Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
  • Experience with plant layout and process optimization
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with ISO standards
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Epicor ERP knowledge preferred.
