Candidate will work under limited supervision to manage the Common Factory Test Platform (CFTP) improvement activities, upgrades and capital budget. The candidate will reside in the Operations Engineering directorate and support tasks under the Common Factory Test Platforms (CFTP) Group. The candidate will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain/Procurement, Test Equipment Engineering, Program Operations Management and Factory Leadership to develop and maintain a strategic roadmap of upcoming projects, inducting new test equipment, and factory layout. The candidate must have demonstrated experience/knowledge in production of Raytheon products. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the cost and schedule management of team products with a strong emphasis on anticipating, understanding, and solving problems through delivery of timely, cost-effective test solutions. The candidate should be familiar with metrics and status reporting (EAC, EVMS, BXR, etc.) as well as all work being done by the responsible teams.

The candidate should possess a strong technical background to maintain an effective engineering interface, ensure organizational goals of on-time deliveries, test escape reduction and zero Estimate at Complete (EAC) growth can be achieved in a cost-effective manner. This position offers an opportunity for hands on engineering and management expertise and strong human relations skills to demonstrate leadership capability, proposal development, team building and technical skills. The candidate will work closely with Engineering, Program Operations Management, Business Development, and Operations personnel during all phases of new business acquisition, program startup, execution, and closeout.

The candidate must be able to support travel to other Raytheon facilities or suppliers as required.
 

What You Will Do
Primary interface to the Program Operations Office, Factory Technical Directors, Factory Managers (FM), PTE Section Manager, and Operations Engineering.

Owner of the capital Test Equipment upgrades (aka, TEMA) and coordination in the factories.

Accountable to coordinate and lead continuous improvement and optimization.

Interfaces with Strategic Make Center (SMC) Managers to execute and course-correct as necessary on A3 project performance from inception through gate review closure.

Manages and attends TEMA review boards (TRB) for all factories (All Parties), dispositions, provides execution and status to the TEMAs.

Provides inputs into the Test Equipment Investment Strategy.

Provide Inputs into the Vision, Strategy and Initiatives – What is the vision for the future and how are we going to get there?

Participate and provide inputs to the Test Equipment Roadmap.

Collaborate across multi-disciplined Engineering teams to derive best solutions to existing capital equipment challenges.

Oversee and influence a team of Engineers to accomplish TEMAs and A3s.

Manage the CFTP budget and course-correct if needed.

Perform as a technical and test process Subject Matter Expert (SME).


Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

Experience within a manufacturing environment

Experience leading teams or projects

The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Clearance (ATF).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
