Job description

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr Advancehere at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our manufacturing processes and driving innovation within the aerospace sector. Your expertise will help shape the future of our manufacturing operations, ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency.
You will report directly to our Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location. Your strategic insights and leadership will drive the successful execution of New Product Introductions (NPI) program in the Engines & Power Systems (E&PS) sub business unit.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes, leading initiatives that enhance productivity, improve product quality, and drive customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide strategic insights and direction for advanced manufacturing engineering initiatives.
  • Develop and implement advanced manufacturing strategies to drive innovation and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are producible and meet yield and cost targets
  • Determine manufacturing processes, procure and set up equipment, develop work instructions
  • Use DFx tools to analyze design and influence design improvements
  • Apply APQP & Lean tools and incorporate new manufacturing processes into the design, such as automation and alternate manufacturing techniques
  • Mentor and coach junior level engineers
  • Support production teams with identification/resolution of new product line issues
  • Perform/Lead Root Cause Corrective Analysis and drive corrective actions to closure

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Systems, Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics)
  • 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering or relevant fields.
  • 5 years of experience in aerospace and/or defence industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with engines, turbomachinery, electrical motors, and/or power generation systems.
