Job Summary

The Director Academic Accounts will be working with a cross functional group, consisting of modality, commercial, and executive team members to increase United Imaging's presence in the academic market space, by developing, nurturing, and maintaining relationships within a single key strategic academic Account. ย Successful candidates will demonstrate the characteristics of authenticity and integrity that is needed to build meaningful and lasting relationship with our customer. Directors of Academic Accounts will serve as the central point of contact for ALL activities at the identified account. By being acutely aware of commercial, research, education, and leadership both internal to the account, and internal to United Imaging Healthcare. It is ย critical to manage the account in a holistic fashionย 


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy and business plan for academic account coverage across the different functions of the institution leveraging the United Imaging product and business solution portfolio to increase United Imaging's institutional presence.
  • Establish United Imaging brand in the institutional geographic region, leveraging a co-branded presence to grow the regional installed base and reputation by delighting ย ย ย ย ย customers with consistent and expeditious customer expectation management
  • Navigate the intricate political environment of an academic account and be able to navigate and match UIH personnel to the academic environment needs.
  • Lead and support a deal team consisting of Account executives, modality managers, product management, GSC team members, and executive leadership to develop and execute a strategy that will result in adoption of UIH brand and product across the institution.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the unique customer needs and be able to represent and shape those needs into a mutually beneficial partnership.ย 
  • Be the voice of the customer to present their perspective and needs as related to imaging trends in healthcare
  • Consult and present for customers on product offerings business solutions and guide customers through the sales process
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients that have influence in UIH equipment decisions, including radiology chairs, purchasing directors, medical school deans, radiology department heads, etc.
  • Support the account team ย ย ย ย ย with strategy to develop and maintain a qualified sales funnel to ensure over-achievement
  • Develop, nurture, and maintain academic customer references and a installed base in support of a national and international KOL strategy.ย 
  • Maintain deep domain expertise in healthcare as pertaining to all imaging modalities, including market and competitive intelligence.

Requirements

This position requires the candidate to reside in Sacramento, CA, or be open to relocating to the Sacramento area.ย 


ย Education

  • Master's or equivalent experience in a medical physics, imaging, physical biological sciences;ย 

Experience

  • Candidates will have 10+ years of account and relationship management in strategic healthcare accounts
  • Extensive knowledge of Imaging in Healthcare market trends
  • Managing cross functional teams
