In this Medical Affairs role, you will serve as a scientific expert responsible for nonpromotional scientific exchange, insight gathering, and strategic engagement with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals. These qualities position you for success as a Medical Science Liaison with Syneos Health.

Responsibilities

The Medical Science Liaison is a field-based, scientific, and clinical expert who strategically supports the medical and scientific objectives of the program. Key aspects of this role will include engaging in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals that translate into meaningful insights while serving as a therapeutic expert.

Additional responsibilities include
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain strategic scientific relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice and evolving therapeutic landscapes
  • Execute nonpromotional scientific exchange and communicate clinical and scientific data through presentations, educational programs, and scientific discussions
  • Serve as a therapeutic and scientific resource for healthcare professionals by addressing unsolicited medical questions and facilitating meaningful scientific dialogue
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate actionable medical insights to support Medical Affairs strategy, evidence generation, and cross functional collaboration
  • Maintain deep scientific and clinical expertise through continuous learning, scientific literature review, and awareness of emerging data and treatment trends
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs colleagues and cross functional including the Clinical team internal stakeholders to provide scientific expertise in support of internal and external initiatives
  • Support congress activities, advisory boards, and other medical education initiatives as appropriate
  • Responsibility for building out referral networks
Requirements
  • Advanced degree required (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD)
  • 3-5 years of prior Medical Science Liaison experience
  • Deep scientific knowledge and genuine passion for Neurology & Rare Disease
  • Epilepsy & Pediatrics nice to have
  • Experience engaging healthcare professionals in scientific exchange preferred
  • Ability to interpret & communicate complex clinical & scientific data
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car and air
Salary and Benefits

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $197,500. Actual salary will vary based on qualifications, skills, and performance. Some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions or bonuses.

The benefits for this position include medical, dental and vision coverage, company match 401(k), flexible paid time off (PTO) and sick time. Eligibility for paid sick time may vary by location. Syneos Health complies with all applicable federal, state, and municipal paid sick time requirements.
