Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the heart and soul of quality care for people in need. They help individuals lead more independent and fulfilled lives. Without their support, individuals would have greater challenges in reaching their dreams in life.


Seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals to provide community-based services for Oakland County. Available shifts include weekday Morning, afternoon/evening, and weekends. Services to be provided in the community and in the family home.

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving history, proof of automobile insurance;
  • Ability to pass drug screening;
  • Ability and willingness to assist with activities of daily living and self-help skills as needed;
  • Ability and willingness to provide support with challenging behaviors;
  • Ability to manage stressful situations responsibly and effectively;
  • Ability to move and/or stand for long periods of time occasionally performing physically demanding tasks.

Preferred qualifications a Plus:

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism.
  • Experience with adults, youth, and teenagers.
