Job description

Salary:

The DSP Superintendent is responsible for coordination of all field operations, general over-all supervision of all crew foremen and their team members, and superintendent assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Over-see one or more DSP projects at a time.
  • Report to the DSP Project Managers
  • Coordinate activities with Project Engineers as needed
  • Coordinate foreman and their duties for assigned individual projects as needed
  • Superintendent is responsible for reviewing all construction documents and preplanning projects
  • Coordinate manpower requirements and job status with DSP Project managers
  • Daily scheduling of manpower using the SNAP platform and communicating assignments to team members
  • Prepare or review job mobilization lists. Preparation involves preparing individual job lists of equipment, material, and other incidentals required to perform a project. Communicate with project managers for individualized job resource requirements
  • Initiate and/or delegate job mobilization. Coordinate equipment and material ordering with the Yard Superintendent or external sources. Job may require DSP superintendent or other DSP personnel physically involved in logistics or deliveries
  • Attend weekly customer job coordination meetings and communicate information with DSP Project Manager or job foreman as necessary
  • Coordinate DSP work site activities with other trades via coordination meetings or other means as necessary
  • Coordinate any contractors working as sub-contractors directly for DSP as required
  • Monitor and assist foreman in recording daily field employee hours as needed
  • Provide or facilitate any preconstruction requirements including layout, subsurface investigation
  • Coordinate foreman pre-planning and project budget comparison reports as needed
  • Coordinate relevant pre-start meetings as needed
  • Monitor and enforce job quality and safety requirements
  • Monitor and enforce job site cleanliness requirements
  • Monitor and communicate project production or status on a weekly basis with DSP Project Managers
  • Coordinate with DSP Project Managers the recruitment of new hires as needed
  • Coordinate additional work pricing, internal authorization, and initiation
  • Monitor, communicate, enforcement equipment maintenance requirements
  • Facilitate manpower requests from DeMaria Building Company Superintendents in the event that request do not fall in the yard superintendent responsibilities
  • Review and correct time sheet entries
  • Field employee PTO/PST communications and authorization
  • Manage DSP general logistics
  • Field incident investigation
  • Manage field HR issues and communications
