To thrive as a Direct Mail Systems Specialist, you need expertise in data management, mailing list segmentation, and knowledge of postal regulations, often supported by experience in marketing or communications. Familiarity with direct mail automation software, database systems like CRM tools, and postal tracking platforms is typically required. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong problem-solving abilities help ensure campaigns are executed accurately and efficiently. Job description

Description
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Data Automation Assistant to support a critical daily workflow that integrates data processing, automation, and physical mail operations.
This role is key to ensuring timely direct mail outreach regarding court-filed debt lawsuits. Speed, accuracy, and consistency are essential. The position involves hands-on operational work (printing, mailing, data cleanup) while also providing exposure to automation tools, scripting, and data systems that power the process behind the scenes.
You will work closely with our Data Operations Specialist, supporting existing systems and gradually learning how to assist with troubleshooting, data validation, and automation workflows. This is a strong opportunity for someone interested in building real-world technical skills while contributing to a structured, process-driven operation.
Responsibilities
• Assist with daily printing, assembly, and mailing of legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines
• Clean, validate, and preprocess data used in automated outreach workflows, including address standardization and suppression handling
• Monitor and support automated data pipelines and web scraping workflows, identifying failures, gaps, or inconsistencies in daily data pulls
• Assist in troubleshooting scripting and automation issues, including failed runs, incomplete data loads, or formatting errors (training provided)
• Support coordination with external platforms and vendors (data providers, mail systems, automation tools) to resolve technical issues
• Maintain logs and documentation related to data workflows, script performance, and system errors for ongoing optimization
• Gradually assist with basic scripting, automation tasks, and process improvements as familiarity with systems increases
Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work within structured, repeatable processes
• Demonstrated interest in programming, scripting, or automation (Python, JavaScript, or similar exposure preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with or curiosity about web scraping, data pipelines, APIs, or ETL processes is a strong plus
• Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets or similar tools; exposure to structured data (CSV, JSON, etc.) is a plus
• Willingness to troubleshoot issues, investigate errors, and learn how systems work end-to-end
• Able to balance hands-on operational tasks with technical learning and problem-solving
• Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in computer science, data analytics, information systems, or a related field preferred
