Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Handles all aspects of safety, quality, and production activities with the objective of meeting the plant’s MOS measurable goals.
  • Provides the vision, direction and leadership for production operations.
  • Drives continuous improvement activities.
  • Leads the plant’s efforts towards development and implementation of Self-Directed Work Teams
  • Participates with peers as a member of the plant operating team.
  • Participates in plant strategic planning and budgeting processes for the manufacturing operation. 
  • Promotes, enforces and sustains ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards in manufacturing activity.
  • Assures Area Managers and other direct reports receive appropriate direction, training and development. 
  • Assures fair application, compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures. 
  • Treats all other team members with respect and dignity.
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

  1. College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing leadership position with automotive stamping exposure.

SPECIAL SKILLS 

  • Computer literate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through team member participation and involvement.

MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Is required to sit, stand, walk, reach overhead, bend over, and exert up to 50 pounds of force when needed.
