Westlake Royal Building Products is seeking a Production Planning Supervisor to lead production scheduling, inventory management, inventory control, and product master data functions for our Columbus and Franklin facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring product availability, inventory accuracy, customer service performance, and operational efficiency while leading a team of scheduling and inventory professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead production scheduling activities to balance customer demand, inventory requirements, and manufacturing capacity
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Manage finished goods, raw materials, consignment, obsolete, and excess inventory to optimize working capital and service levels
  • Maintain product master data, Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and item setup within JD Edwards
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and product revisions
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, schedule attainment, inventory turns, and customer service
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and system effectiveness
  • Lead, coach, and develop scheduling and inventory control personnel
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Accounting, and Supply Chain teams to achieve business objectives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, inventory management, or manufacturing operations
  • Strong inventory control and manufacturing experience
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or similar certification
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and DSI systems
  • Experience with reporting and data analytics tools
