Job description

Already successful? Good. This role isn’t for everyone.

At HSP Direct, we don't hire people to maintain the status quo—we hire people to raise the standard.

Our mission is clear: elect conservative leaders and advance causes that defend freedom. We execute that mission by building best-in-class fundraising programs for political and nonprofit organizations nationwide.

This is not a role for someone looking to manage a process.

This is a role for someone ready to build, improve, and lead at a higher level.

We’re looking for a Senior Director of Production—someone who can lead people, optimize systems, solve complex problems, and drive performance across one of the most critical functions in our business.

If you’re looking for a comfortable role, this probably isn’t for you.

If you’re looking for ownership and impact, keep reading.

The Opportunity

This is a front-line leadership role where you will:

  • Lead a team that drives execution: Build and develop a team of project managers responsible for delivering high-quality fundraising programs for political and nonprofit organizations across the country.
  • Improve systems that matter: Evaluate and optimize workflows, vendor relationships, quality-control processes, and operational systems to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve results.
  • Drive testing and innovation: Own the pursuit of what’s next. Identify opportunities to test new mail formats, AI integrations, workflow improvements, and vendor partnerships that enhance performance, create competitive advantages, and drive stronger fundraising outcomes.
  • Operate alongside top-tier talent: Collaborate with leaders across account management, creative, audience-building, data, and accounting to execute programs that directly impact fundraising performance.
  • Solve complex challenges across the agency: No two days are the same. You’ll be expected to think critically, make decisions, remove obstacles, and help the organization scale.
Who This Is For

This role is built for individuals who:

  • Have successfully led teams and want a larger platform for impact
  • Enjoy improving systems, processes, and operational performance
  • Take ownership of problems instead of waiting for direction
  • Hold themselves and others to high standards
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities shift and execution matters
  • Are energized by responsibility, accountability, and resultsWant to build something better tomorrow than it is today
What Sets This Role Apart
  • You will have significant influence over how the organization operates
  • Your decisions will directly impact client success and company growth
  • You will lead meaningful change—not simply maintain existing processes
  • You will work directly with senior leadership to solve important business challenges
  • You will have the opportunity to build and develop future leaders within the organization
Qualifications
  • Passion for conservative politics and mission-driven work
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing performance
  • Strong operational mindset with a track record of improving processes and driving results
  • Experience managing vendors, deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • High degree of accountability, ownership, and initiative
  • Direct mail production experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in fundraising, marketing operations, print production, agency operations, nonprofit fundraising, or related industries preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
Logistics
  • Full-time, in-office role
  • Location: Ashburn, VA
  • Remote work is not available
