Job Title: Print Mail Operator

Location: Franklin, WI Onsite

Shift:  M - F, 3rd shift - 11:30pm - 8:00am CT (18 an hour on W2)

**Schedule:** - **3rd Shift:** Hours to be specified - But most likely 11pm – 7am **Core Responsibilities:** - Running print work on a digital press - Quality control - Operating machines - Working in the print shop - Running printers or inserter This position is exclusively for the 3rd shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Print Mail Operator the individual applies knowledge of printing and inserting/mailing equipment, software and integrated systems to process computer output on the printers and automated inserting/mailing equipment and prepares outgoing mail in the form of letters, statements, billings, and notices based on known priorities. They work under the supervision of the team lead and have a basic understanding of the primary functions of the Print Mail operations. Printing Assumes responsibility for setting up and running all print equipment and is proficient with standard maintenance and troubleshooting techniques. Utilizes middleware that controls the flow of production output to the printers. Prioritizes work flow in the effort to meet established service level agreements. Makes customary decisions during the course of print runs utilizing operator guidelines and procedure manuals. Performs quality assurance verification, sorting, and packaging of printed output for distribution. Inserting Is responsible for inserting forms, documents, and letters along with the appropriate flyers, brochures and illustrations for delivery to NM’s policyowners, financial reps and HO clients. Assembles complete, quality mailings that consist of highly confidential material that can include checks and sensitive information regarding policy values, loans and payments. Verifies output matches the job totals on the mailing instruction page (MIP). Observes the reaction of the system and makes the necessary adjustments to assure the equipment is running smoothly and correctly as errors in set-up or operation could result in damage to the system, possible operator injury and/or expenses to reproduce the mailing. Performs daily equipment maintenance including cleaning and minor repairs. Consistently monitors the operations performance and reviews random samples of production to ensure quality and accuracy. Miscellaneous Sets a positive tone through work engagement and team spirit. Shares ideas and offers process improvement opportunities. Documents vendor service calls and escalates concerns to team lead or management as needed. Provides responses to customer service inquiries. Stages and monitors consumable related inventory. Performs other related duties, administrative functions, assignments or special projects as directed by the team lead or management.
