Job description

Pay Range: Targeted Salary of $13 per hour, based on experience.
Benefits Eligible: No
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Position Introduction:
Picks up and delivers United States Postal Service (USPS) and interdepartmental mail.
  • Picks up USPS mail by utilizing a state owned motor vehicle.
  • Delivers mail to various destinations. May make special mail runs as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assists in preparation of special mailings.
  • Sorts and meters incoming and outgoing mail by route and location. Separates outgoing mail by account number for postage.
  • Maintains state owned motor vehicle, to include but not limited to inspecting the vehicle for engine oil, and brake pressure.
  • Informs central mail supervisor of any deficiencies.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Ability to read and write
  • Excellent driving record
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and informatio
Required Certifications and Licenses:
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date
