Job description

  • Serve as a key marketing expert, planning campaigns, writing content, and working with designers and videographers on marketing collateral (including print, digital, web, social media, and audio/video production). Advise and collaborate with colleagues throughout the company on effective promotion strategies. Must have excellent grammar and punctuation skills and understand the company's brand voice/tone/terminology. Also, have a working knowledge of challenger language and writing for different mediums.
  • Manage executive-level projects and develop cost-efficient marketing campaigns that support customer retention, increase sales, and educate prospective or existing customers. Additionally, assist other marketing analysts with tactics and execute approved budgets.
  • Lead the creation of marketing collateral that promotes name awareness, our value proposition, and maintains our reputation in the market. Work with colleagues throughout the company to ensure positive customer experience.

Skills & Requirements
  • Five to seven years of marketing, communication or advertising experience preferred, including at least five years of experience in the insurance industry and/or marketing corporation or agency
  • Experience researching, planning, executing and measuring marketing communications projects, campaigns, and strategies
  • Advanced knowledge in a specialty (writing, SEO, digital advertising, social media, email marketing, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of accessibility and readability levels
  • Strong knowledge of sales, advertising and marketing techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance products/services and the industries we serve
  • Strong, detail oriented copywriting skills with the ability to write within the brand "voice", in a variety of mediums including print, digital, web, social media, blog articles and video scripting
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects at one time using a collaborative work management software system
  • Fully proficient on a PC or Mac platform
  • Familiarity with advertising and state compliance laws
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Access
  • Fully proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Professional
  • Working knowledge of variable data merge thru InDesign or Microsoft Office
  • Deep knowledge of HTML email campaigns, web and customer relationship systems, including Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Umbraco, Salesforce Email Templates
  • Enhanced knowledge of digital reporting tools such as Google Analytics
  • Advanced understanding of social media communications which may include social media outlets (Sprout Social, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram)
  • Understands our customer facing apps and has a deep knowledge of the customer's journey
  • Has excellent analysis and interpretation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication, ability to be a strong communicator and form relationships
