Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one community support to an individual with developmental disabilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others build independence while participating in meaningful community activities.
Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support during community outings.
  • Assist with communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
  • Encourage participation in recreational and community-based activities.
  • Ensure the individual's health, safety, and well-being at all times.
  • Transport the individual to and from scheduled community activities as needed.
  • Complete accurate documentation and progress notes.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication with supervisors and family members.
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or related conditions is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
