ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Table Captain at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will play an active role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional dining experience throughout each meal and special event. Working collaboratively with the dining room supervisor and other Dining Room Servers, you will provide hands-on table service while taking a lead role with special event dining service in our community. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. They excel in a fast-paced, physically active position, collaborate effectively, and embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors to thrive as they age.
YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise Servers in the absence of the Dining Room Manager and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
  • Provide attentive and personalized service to a group of assigned tables in our on-site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience
  • Take accurate orders, answer menu questions, and deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature, with proper presentation and accuracy
  • Prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are always ready
  • Works collaboratively with residents and other departments to plan, coordinate and facilitate special dining events and celebrations
  • Assists the Dining Room Manager with Room Service process
  • Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and assigned tables ensuring guest needs are met throughout each meal

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • 1 year prior Restaurant Server experience with demonstrated knowledge of dining etiquette
  • Must be able to efficiently multi-task, be an active listener, and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Demonstrates leadership skills, a willingness to learn and work in a hands-on, hospitality oriented position
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
