Job description

Overview
We are seeking a Digital Product Sr Manager Engineering Twin to define, build, and scale PepsiCo's Engineering Digital Twin product as a global capability supporting manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, and future supply chain operations.
This role will own the product vision, roadmap, and feature backlog for Engineering Digital Twins, enabling engineering teams to simulate, optimize, and validate facilities, production lines, warehouse operations, material flow, and equipment performance before physical implementation. The Engineering Digital Twin serves as the enterprise platform for engineering analysis, scenario planning, capacity optimization, commissioning support, and continuous improvement throughout the asset lifecycle.
The Product Owner will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering organizations, solution architects, software development teams, flow simulators, and strategic technology partners to deliver scalable engineering capabilities that accelerate facility design, reduce implementation risk, optimize capital investments, and improve operational performance.
Responsibilities
Engineering Digital Twin Product Strategy
  • Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for PepsiCo's Engineering Digital Twin product supporting manufacturing plants, warehouses, mixing centers, and distribution facilities.
  • Define standardized engineering simulation capabilities that can be reused globally instead of developing one-off site-specific solutions.
  • Prioritize product investments based on business value, engineering impact, scalability, and customer feedback.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, and Operations teams to identify high-value engineering use cases.
  • Establish measurable product outcomes tied to capacity optimization, throughput improvements, CapEx optimization, commissioning acceleration, and operational efficiency.

Engineering Simulation Products & Capabilities
  • Own the product roadmap for material flow simulations, discrete event simulation (DES), physics-based simulations, and engineering optimization capabilities.
  • Define reusable simulation templates, engineering models, digital assets, and configuration standards that accelerate deployment across PepsiCo's global facilities.
  • Lead development of "what-if" scenario planning capabilities for capacity expansion, equipment selection, bottleneck elimination, layout optimization, and process improvements.
  • Ensure engineering twins provide decision support throughout the entire asset lifecycle-from design and commissioning through operations and continuous improvement.
  • Drive standardization of simulation methodologies and engineering best practices across sectors and business units.

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery
  • Own and prioritize the Engineering Digital Twin product backlog.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
  • Partner closely with Agile delivery teams, architects, UX designers, and technical leads throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Balance business priorities, technical feasibility, product quality, and release timelines.
  • Ensure every product release delivers measurable customer value and supports PepsiCo's enterprise architecture.

Platform Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Ensure Engineering Twin capabilities integrate seamlessly with the Digital Twin Platform, Spatial Twin, Operational Twin, Vision Twin, and enterprise applications.
  • Partner with Digital Twin Platform teams to leverage common services, APIs, data models, identity management, and visualization capabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering software vendors, simulation partners, and system integrators to align product roadmaps and technology investments.
  • Support development of reusable engineering data models that enable interoperability across Siemens, NVIDIA Omniverse, CAD systems, Teamcenter, and enterprise data platforms.

User Experience & Business Value
  • Define engineering personas and user journeys for engineers, plant designers, automation teams, and operations personnel.
  • Establish KPIs measuring simulation accuracy, engineering productivity, deployment speed, and business impact.
  • Lead product demonstrations, stakeholder workshops, and customer feedback sessions.
  • Drive continuous product improvements based on user feedback, technology innovation, and changing business priorities.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $140,100 - $234,850.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
  • In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health, and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Master's degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering Systems, Industrial Engineering, or Digital Transformation.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise software products from concept through deployment and continuous enhancement.
  • Experience delivering engineering simulation, factory design, process optimization, or digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Experience working within Agile product organizations and leading cross-functional product teams.
  • Experience balancing strategic product vision with hands-on product ownership and execution in a highly matrixed global organization.

Technical Expertise
  • Strong understanding of Digital Twin technologies, engineering workflows, and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with Material Flow Analysis, Discrete Event Simulation (DES), and engineering optimization methodologies.
  • Familiarity with engineering design tools, CAD/BIM environments, Siemens Plant Simulation, FlexSim, AnyLogic, or similar simulation platforms.
  • Understanding of enterprise platforms including Teamcenter, NVIDIA Omniverse, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, warehouse automation, and engineering data management.

Leadership
  • Strong product management mindset with demonstrated ability to prioritize competing business needs and technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior business leaders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success leading global cross-functional teams and strategic technology partners.

Success Metrics
  • Engineering Digital Twin capabilities successfully deployed across prioritized manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution facilities using standardized global deployment methodologies.
  • Reusable simulation products adopted globally, reducing engineering effort and accelerating deployment timelines.
  • Demonstrated improvements in throughput, capacity planning, bottleneck identification, equipment utilization, and CapEx optimization through engineering simulations.
  • Increased engineering productivity through standardized simulation templates, reusable engineering models, and scalable digital assets.
  • High stakeholder satisfaction with product usability, simulation accuracy, and engineering decision support.
  • Delivery of roadmap commitments on schedule while maintaining enterprise architecture standards and product quality.
  • Continuous growth in product adoption, engineering engagement, and measurable business value across global sectors.
