Digital Marketing Specialist
Hoselton Auto Mall | East Rochester, NY
Full-Time | $50,000-$65,000 per year

Join the Hoselton Marketing Team
Hoselton Auto Mall is looking for a creative, organized and data-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing Team. This is a full-time, in-office position located at Hoselton Auto Mall in East Rochester, NY.
For more than 100 years, Hoselton has served the Rochester community as a local, family-owned automotive group. This position will help tell the Hoselton story across social media, our websites and other digital channels while supporting Hoselton Toyota, Hoselton Chevrolet, Hoselton Nissan and the Hoselton Pre-Owned Super Center.
The Digital Marketing Specialist supports all things digital at Hoselton Auto Mall. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who is comfortable reviewing performance, coordinating campaigns and vendors, and creating content that connects with real people. The right candidate understands how SEO, SEM, CRM, paid media, websites, analytics and creative content work together to drive customer engagement, leads and growth. This person will help turn performance data into clear next steps while creating original content that brings the Hoselton story, our people and our vehicles to life.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Paid Media, Integrated Campaigns & Vendor Management
  • Coordinate, monitor and help optimize paid digital campaigns across Google Search, Shopping, Performance Max (PMax), video and Meta platforms.
  • Support the creation and execution of integrated campaigns across email, direct mail, traditional media, websites, social media and paid digital channels.
  • Help manage campaign priorities, budgets and timelines across brands and departments, adjusting quickly as inventory, offers and business needs change.
  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for third-party digital vendors; review strategy, targeting, placements, tracking, lead quality and ROI, and recommend improvements.

2. CRM Marketing, Audience Segmentation & Growth
  • Support and execute CRM marketing efforts that encourage customer retention, re-engagement, service growth and sales opportunities.
  • Build and refine audience segments using customer behavior, ownership history, engagement, lifecycle stage, geography and other first-party data.
  • Create targeted customer journeys and campaigns across email, paid media and direct mail, matching the message and offer to the audience.
  • Help maintain and grow the usable customer database through sound capture, consent and data-quality practices, then use results to improve targeting, timing and messaging.

3. Social Media, Meta & Content Creation
  • Manage day-to-day organic and paid social activity using Meta Business Suite and Meta Ads Manager, with a clear understanding of the purpose of each platform.
  • Plan and maintain social content calendars that balance vehicles, sales, service, employees, community involvement, promotions and brand storytelling.
  • Photograph and film vehicles in ways that make each one distinctive, visually compelling and relevant to the intended audience.
  • Monitor comments, messages, mentions and social performance; respond appropriately and elevate customer concerns when needed.

4. Website, SEO, Analytics & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate, current, customer-focused and OEM-compliant content across Hoselton's public websites and employee site using WordPress, Wix and dealership website tools.
  • Update pages, forms, calls to action, specials, landing pages and campaign content using existing tools, templates and approved brand standards.
  • Conduct routine website and SEO quality checks-including broken links, outdated content, form or inventory-feed issues, search visibility and customer-experience concerns-and coordinate advanced fixes with providers.
  • Use GA4, Semrush and platform analytics to review traffic, engagement, conversions, leads, calls, search performance and customer behavior.
  • Compile concise monthly reporting that explains results, vendor performance, ROI and recommended next steps to the Marketing Team and dealership leadership.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of two years of full-time, professional experience in digital marketing, advertising, social media or a related marketing role.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO, SEM and paid digital campaigns, including Google Search, Shopping, PMax and video; at least 2 years of GA4 experience and familiarity with Semrush or comparable tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of Meta Business Suite and practical experience with Meta Ads Manager, paid social targeting, campaign setup and reporting.
  • Experience with CRM marketing, database growth, audience segmentation and targeted lifecycle campaigns.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and evaluating performance against business goals, budgets and ROI.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, Wix and content-management tools; advanced custom website development is not required.
  • Strong photography and short-form video skills, with the confidence to direct people on camera and create distinctive vehicle content.
  • Strong writing, editing, organization and communication skills, with the ability to shift priorities and manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, advertising or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Microsoft Office, Looker Studio and LLM-based AI tools.
  • Portfolio or examples demonstrating paid campaigns, reporting, photography, Reels, video and other digital content.

• Health, dental, and vision insurance
