Job description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Head of Treasury Advisory for Digital Assets within Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL). The position focuses on translating emerging capabilities, including digital assets and programmable treasury, into practical, revenue-generating solutions. This leader will drive the origination and structuring of complex, integrated treasury solutions to support revenue growth and client success. They will partner across product, sales, and innovation teams while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

In this role, you will:

Client & Revenue Growth Leadership

  • Partner with wholesale working capital product organizations (GPL, Trade Finance, Merchant, FX) and relevant consumer products to build complex, integrated solution structures that create competitive advantage
  • Work closely with sales and banking teams to identify client needs requiring new or enhanced solutioning, particularly for large, complex clients
  • Proactively originate and shape opportunities with top-tier clients
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, influencing treasury strategy and solution adoption

Product Influence & Solution Innovation

  • Partner with product teams to inform and influence the evolution of treasury offerings based on client demand and market trends
  • Structure solutions that combine existing capabilities in new ways, while also identifying gaps where new capabilities are required
  • Educate sales, bankers, and clients on advanced solution constructs and emerging capabilities

Digital Assets, Programmable Treasury & Emerging Capabilities

  • In collaboration with product, technology, and innovation partners, support positioning, and client adoption of emerging solutions, including:
  • Tokenized deposits and tokenized cash-like instruments
  • Tokenized working capital and collateral, including:
    • On-chain collateral mobility
    • Repo and intraday liquidity use cases
  • Programmable payments and liquidity, enabling:
    • 24/7 / always-on treasury operations
    • Event-driven payments
    • Just-in-time funding models
  • On-chain intraday liquidity and tokenized collateral services
  • Programmable treasury solutions, including dynamic and rules-based payment execution
  • Digital asset custody, safekeeping, and servicing for tokenized securities and deposits (via internal capabilities or strategic partners)
  • Translate these capabilities into practical, revenue-generating client solutions, not just conceptual innovation

Market Insight & Thought Leadership

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity, particularly in digital assets and next-generation treasury models
  • Position the bank as a leader in modern treasury solutioning, bridging traditional and emerging capabilities
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

  • Experience in structuring complex, multi-product solutions using digital assets

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) a plus
  • Proven success in sales leadership or client-facing advisory roles in treasury or financial services
  • Strong understanding of treasury products (cash, liquidity, trade, payments, risk management)
  • Ability to influence both clients and internal product direction
  • Experience structuring complex, multi-product solutions
  • Strong communication and executive presence with clients
  • Strategic mindset with ability to translate innovation into commercial outcomes
  • Ability to operate across highly matrixed organizations and drive alignment

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
