Job description

Short Intro and About the Job
The Junior Plant Industrialization Manager (Junior PIM) will support the manufacturing operations in executing testing for validation and specification conformity of packaging, ingredients, and finished product. The primary focus will be on industrialization of packaging, product, productivity, innovation, and renovation projects at the manufacturing facility. The Junior PIM will work closely with the Plant Industrialization Manager on prioritization of projects and testing requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize test data as it relates to analytical and dimensional packaging and finished product tests during Stage 0-3 Trials.
  • Perform Spec conformance analysis according to plan of control as trial materials and ingredients arrive at plant. Document findings and analyze the trends.
  • Collect and Coordinate all sample shipments of materials, white mass, product etc. to external sites.
  • Support plant trials (Lead Low to Medium complexity Trials as needed).
  • Manage Trial material & ingredient inventory in plant.
  • Change Management & One Point Lesson Communication to Plant Team.
  • Operate and maintain analytical bench test equipment for Packaging (FFS Control Plan, Topload, Digital Imaging, Wall Thickness, Score Bend, Sealing).

About You
Experience and Education Requirement
  • Experience and working knowledge in: compliance and Regulatory Quality Systems schemas e.g. FSSC 22000, PrP, TDH/FDA; Support Quality systems: e.g the plant ISO and HACCP initiatives.
  • Non-degreed: 5+ years relative Industrial experience in a technical plant / analytical lab (i.e. plant production, engineering, manufacturing)
  • Degreed: 0-3 yrs + experience with a bachelor's degree (Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology or closely related field)
