Job Duties
  • Under broad direction, manages commercial digital products operating under a rapid MVP, AI-assisted development model.
  • Leads product development at each stage - from concept through working prototype and into commercialization.
  • Works directly alongside developer teams on a daily basis, providing real-time direction and coordination at every step.
  • There are no handoffs - the product manager remains embedded in the work throughout, jumping in where needed and keeping development moving without batch reviews or sprint cycles.
  • Accountable for working product outcomes, not documentation milestones.
  • Leverages AI-assisted tools to accelerate concept-to-prototype cycles and validate solutions rapidly.
  • Manages department budgets with a bias toward lean, modern-skillset teams accountable for outcomes rather than hours.
  • Responsible for management of one or more product families - strategy, investment model, life cycle, and commercialization.
  • Accountable for funded development and for packaging, pricing, and marketing product families.
  • Identifies new product and business opportunities and industry and competitor changes that may require new strategies or revisions of the business plan.
  • Assists sales and operations in rollout and training.
  • Establishes relationships with customers, third parties, and industry thought leaders.
  • Manages IP in area of responsibility.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Science/Mathematics, or Engineering required.
  • 15 years of oil and gas experience including product management.
  • Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer preferred for engineering incumbents. 

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.  Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Senior Product Manager.
