Job Description

We're seeking an Associate Digital Platforms Producer to join MS NOW, to cover the weekend primetime shift.
This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Work across MS NOW platforms including linear, digital, streaming and direct to consumer to create and curate content that aligns with the brand identity of MS NOW
  • Write eye-catching and accurate headlines that spark engagement
  • Partner and collaborate with show producers on video editorial content for platforms
  • Curate MS NOW’s homepage, app and social platforms with a lively, newsworthy mix of content
  • Distribute content across partner platforms like Apple News, SmartNews and Flipboard
  • Assist in the production and editing of compelling video and text content across owned and social platforms
  • A/B test headlines and story packaging on MS.now
  • Monitor analytics to inform programming decisions
Qualifications
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must have at least 3 years production or editorial experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of current events, U.S. politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
  • Sound journalistic judgment
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
  • Experience working in social media editorial or publishing, with a knowledge of what works and doesn’t for different platforms
  • Experience editing video for social platforms

Additional Requirements

  • This role works a weekend shift covering afternoons and evenings, either Wed-Sun or Fri-Tues
  • Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C or New York, NY
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. 

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
