Brief Job Overview
This is a non-supervisory position responsible for developing and managing digital marketing strategies, plans and tactics that drive correct adoption and implementation of USP standards, products and solutions and align with the Global Health and Manufacturing Services USP Education strategic plans and USP organizational goals. This role will lead creation and execution of integrated digital marketing calendars and campaigns targeted to Pharma and Biotech Industries, Universities, and Healthcare Organizations/Pharmacies to drive maximum enrollment and usage for USP Education programs, subscriptions, and content licensing. The position plays a critical role in the organization's ability to increase program and product awareness, customer engagement and deliver KPIs that drive growth. The incumbent oversees development of creative, content and assets (video, white papers, graphics, images, copy, etc.) for targeted digital marketing channels including social, email, and web in collaboration with other digital marketing and global communications staff.
In addition, the position will be responsible for managing KPIs and lessons learned to maximize performance and implement best practices that ensure overall campaign effectiveness and impact. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and self-motivated individual to join our team.

The Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, USP Education, has the following responsibilities:
The position's purpose should provide a high-level overview of why the position exists and briefly identify the most critical priorities of the position. This is an opportunity to highlight any features or duties of the role related explicitly to the Department's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging work.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing plans and communication strategies to define, develop and promote the USP Education portfolio of courses, content, and modes of delivery to meet department and organizational goals.
  • Analyze and monitor business, market, and digital marketing trends to inform campaign and communication priorities.
  • Work cross functionally with USP internal functions including Industry Programs, Global Communications, Science, Strategic Customer Development, Scientific Affairs, Regulatory Affairs to integrate USP Education offerings into and to execute digital marketing campaigns.
  • Develops according to organization branding policy/approvals and deploys USP Education marketing tools including digital collateral, presentations, brochures, course sheets, web content, promotional emails, newsletters, ads and other promotional tools.
  • Day-to-day management of the digital marketing agencies including shaping goals and objectives according to desired deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Integrates USP Education customer data for US and Europe into CRM system and maintains customer segmentation.
  • Leverage data and insights to enhance overall campaign performance and improve future digital marketing efforts.
  • Team player with critical thinking and problem-solving skills and excellent time-management skills.

Who is USP Looking For?
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, commercial education, life sciences or other related field.
  • At least five (5) years of hands-on experience with marketing/digital marketing of educational products, services, or solutions in the pharma, life sciences, university, or healthcare industry within depth knowledge of different digital marketing channels, online marketing tools, CRM software and best practices.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in product/brand marketing role or customer-facing role in the Pharma or healthcare industry.
  • At least (2) years of experience leading and managing teams in a highly matrixed organization.

Additional Desired Preferences
  • A master's in business administration and/or completion of certificate program in digital marketing area of expertise.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in life sciences education, pharmaceutical training or related industry, with a combination of commercial and technical roles.
  • At least two (2) years of in a sales or customer-facing role in the pharma or healthcare industry or related field.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Tableau, Salesforce Pardot and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Passionate about digital marketing as well as having excellent writing and editing skills.
  • This person should have strong communication skills, be patient and detail-oriented, and can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with business driven mindset.

Compensation
Base Salary Range: USD $101,867.00 - $127,250.00 annually.
Target Annual Bonus: % Varies based on level of role.
