Job description

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a State Street Markets Product Strategy Digital, Managing Director reporting directly to senior Markets leadership. You will define and drive executions of a Markets specific Digital Assets Strategy, spanning multiple Markets business lines translating strategic opportunities and priorities into actionable roadmaps and delivered outcomes in partnership with Markets business leaders, State Streets Digital product teams, technology, risk, legal, operations, and corporate functions.

This role will provide governance and execution discipline to deliver capabilities that support growth, differentiated client outcomes, operational resilience, and risk excellence in the accelerating Digital Assets space. .

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead the development and execution of an Digital Assets strategies across business lines and asset classes, partnering with Markets, State Street Digital Product teams, business heads, and other functional stakeholders to align priorities to growth targets and corporate strategy.
  • Own the Digital Assets strategy for State Street Markets, including prioritization of digital asset enablement, tokenization and related market infrastructure opportunities, and integration into digital ecosystems and with existing Markets products and distribution.
  • Translate the Digital Assets strategy into clear product roadmaps and investment cases supported by well-structured business cases covering feasibility, operating model impact, resourcing, regulatory considerations, risk, and return.
  • Own the product lifecycle for prioritized Markets Digital Assets capabilities from ideation through delivery, commercialization, and post-implementation review, ensuring consistent product governance and measurable outcomes.
  • Assess and design Digital Assets target-state operating models, workflows, and infrastructure interoperability of legacy infrastructure and digital rails, data and controls, interoperability with custody/settlement, and vendor/partner ecosystems to support scale, resilience, and future growth.
  • Act as senior business owner and sponsor for other as appropriate pan-Markets strategic product initiatives.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Controls, and Corporate Governance to ensure regulatory alignment in the evolving Digital Asset markets. Employ robust change management, and proactive risk identification/mitigation prior to implementation.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Product Strategy and Product Management organization spanning Markets and Digital Assets initiatives, embedding accountability, delivery, and risk excellence.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Significant experience in Markets product strategy and/or product management, markets infrastructure delivery, and senior stakeholder leadership; experience shaping and executing Digital Assets strategy strongly preferred.
  • Experience with digital assets ecosystems (e.g., tokenization, DLT-based market infrastructure, digital custody/settlement concepts, and vendor/partner evaluation), including navigating evolving regulatory expectations and control frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within strong risk, compliance, and governance frameworks in a regulated financial institution.
  • Strong strategic communication skills, including ability to produce client-facing materials that articulate product vision, strategy, and solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

Additional requirements

Financial aptitude, including ability to formulate, understand, and manage budgets, and to measure delivery against revenue, expense, and risk excellence objectives.

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual
