As the Learning Design Manager, you will provide leadership to a digital design team and craft a comprehensive strategy to address the organization's digital teaching and learning needs. This role involves driving innovation and ensuring alignment with the organization's goals through well-designed digital learning solutions and strategies.
You will also lead the team in delivering expert consultative services to business partners, focusing on instructional design, evaluating educational technologies, and supporting learning initiatives. By fostering collaboration and leveraging cutting-edge tools, you will play a key role in transforming learning experiences and enhancing organizational growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage Team Success. In this role, you'll provide leadership and direction to a digital design team; establish goals, quality assurance practices, and assessment methods; prioritize deliverables; manage workflow and project scheduling to ensure a high level of service to business partners.
  • Identify Future Development Opportunities. Collaborates with business partners, Talent Development partners which include Content, Coaching and Data to identify opportunities and make recommendations for improvement in employee training and development.
  • Project Management. You'll manage the end-to-end design, development and implementation of learning solutions for multiple learning projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: You'll incorporate best practices for innovative and engaging eLearning. Stays current on eLearning methods, learning theory, motivation theory, new trends, software and techniques. Recommends specific processes, tools, and methodologies to address priorities.
  • Instructional Design: In this position, you'll utilize instructional design, adult learning principles, and innovative strategies in the conception, design, and development of eLearning courses.
  • Content Author: Utilizing multimedia software and eLearning authoring tools (Adobe, Articulate 360, Camtasia, etc.), you'll design and develop creative assets (storyboards, graphics, videos).
  • Provide backup LMS Assistance. Serve as a backup to the LMS Coordinator. If called upon, you'll need to be able to provide basic support and maintenance of the LMS content, assets, and other resources.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in instructional design, adult education, communications or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience in instructional design, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership.
  • Knowledge of multimedia interactive authoring software (Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Creative Suite, or related software.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to develop, organize and produce assigned projects within timelines.
  • This position may require up to 10% travel; the successful candidate will be willing and able to meet travel requirements.
